Julie is a dual French and Australian qualified lawyer with extensive experience working with both Australian and foreign corporations as well as Australian Federal and Queensland departments, agencies and government owned entities. She provides advice on investments and operations in Australia and across the Pacific region (having worked in New Caledonia, French Polynesia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea). Before joining Keypoint, Julie was the Managing Director of Brisbane-based Océanie Lawyers. Earlier in her career, Julie was a lawyer with Blake Dawson (now Ashurst) and a partner at Holding Redlich.

Julie’s specific focus is on commercial and corporate law; mergers and acquisitions; energy and resource projects; and construction and tourism projects. She is bilingual French-English and has specialist knowledge of French, Australian and Pacific Islands businesses and cultures. She is therefore ideally poised to assist both French companies investing in Australia, and Australian companies investing in the Pacific region and other French speaking markets.

Julie is a certified NAATI translator from English into French with 10 years’ experience as an English-French and French-English legal translator.

Julie is also actively involved in the Australian, French and Pacific Island business communities. She is:

  • The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce’s Federal Director and Queensland Chapter Secretary.
  • A member of the executive committee of the Australia Pacific Islands Business Council.
  • A member of the executive committee of the Australia Papua New Guinea Business Council.

Julie joined Keypoint in 2019 and is based in Brisbane.
