Keypoint grows property and commercial team

Keypoint is delighted to announce that Ian Streeter has joined the firm.

Ian is a senior property and commercial lawyer, with experience gained both in-house, and in top-tier and boutique law firms, over more than 2 decades.

Ian joins Keypoint from a $2bn, top-100 ASX-listed group, where he led a team responsible for the legal side of the business’s property and commercial transactions.

Prior to that, Ian was a partner at a boutique law firm, where he ran the firm’s property and commercial law division.

Ian’s areas of expertise include:

  1. Property and Projects, acting on purchases and sales of commercial property, leasing, development and JV agreements, construction contracts and property finance agreements;
  2. Commercial, including purchases and sales of companies and businesses, shareholder agreements, commercial contracts, and general commercial law advice;
  3. Commercial disputes – helping clients achieve pragmatic solutions in commercial disputes, particularly in relation to property and construction issues.

Ian also offers an “Outsourced General Counsel” service, under which he provides clients with the legal services and approach of an in-house counsel, without the associated headcount.

Keypoint CEO, Warren Kalinko, stated:

Ian brings to Keypoint a combination of first class technical skills – honed from years as a partner in private practice, along with an understanding of business – which comes from an extended period working as an in-house lawyer at a senior level.   Ian’s joining adds to the continued growth and strength of Keypoint, which has doubled in size over the past 7 months.  We’re delighted that Ian has joined.”

Ian Streeter commented:

Keypoint provides the flexibility to work in a way that’s best for each client and project. I’m looking forward to working with the Keypoint team.”

Keypoint is a finalist for “Boutique Diversity Law Firm of the Year” in the upcoming Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards.  Earlier this year, it won “Australian Boutique Law Firm of the Year” at the 2016 Australasian Law Awards.
