Keypoint Law welcomes Michael Eyers AM

Keypoint Law is delighted to announce that Michael Eyers AM has joined the firm, enabling it to launch new practice areas in Probate and in Estate and Superannuation Planning.

“Estate and Superannuation Planning are becoming increasingly significant as Australia’s baby-boomers move towards retirement, and there has been a lot of new law in this area over recent years.  Michael’s appointment provides our private clients with expert legal services in this important and at times complex area,” said Keypoint Law CEO Warren Kalinko.

Michael Eyers will be the seventh senior lawyer to join the firm since it launched in Australia just eight weeks ago.

“Michael has had a distinguished career in law, investment banking and as a senior adviser to government and we are delighted he’s joining us” said Mr Kalinko.

Mr Eyers is a former partner at both Blakes (now Ashurst) and Atanaskovic Hartnell, and a former Director at Macquarie Corporate Finance.  He has held senior roles in both the Commonwealth and New South Wales governments, including as Deputy CEO of SOCOG (Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games) and Director of Housing for New South Wales, and as an adviser to the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet and to Infrastructure Australia.  He is a Member of the Order of Australia (AM).

Keypoint Law’s new practice areas will cover all aspects of Estate and Superannuation Planning, and Probate, including advice on preparing wills and codicils, testamentary trusts and related tax issues, distributing superannuation benefits, control of self-managed superannuation funds, enduring powers of attorney, appointment of enduring guardians, offshore assets and foreign wills, estate administration, grants of probate and letters of administration, Family Provision Orders, and probate disputes.
