Keypoint Law is delighted to announce that Lora Shaw has joined the firm from HWL Ebsworth, where she was a Special Counsel.

Lora specialises in providing strategic advice to Commonwealth agencies, and public and private companies, on major infrastructure and ICT projects, procurement contracts and information governance.  Her Government work has included acting for the Commonwealth Departments of Defence, Health and Finance on major procurement contracts, and for the Commonwealth Department of Human Services and the Australian Taxation Office on privacy and data protection.  Lora’s expertise in government services was recently recognised by her inclusion in the Australian Financial Review’s ‘Best Lawyers in Australia’ listing for 2014 for Government Practice.

Lora began her career with Ashurst, where she worked for 7 years as a corporate lawyer in their Canberra, Sydney and Tokyo offices.  She then continued her specialisation in major infrastructure projects and corporate law in Dublin, where she spent several years with leading Irish firm Matheson, before returning home to Canberra in 2012.

Keypoint Law CEO Warren Kalinko said:

Lora’s joining continues the theme of Keypoint attracting talented senior lawyers to a firm structure which minimises overhead, and enables our lawyers to flexibly tailor fee offerings to clients.  It also marks Keypoint’s arrival as a competitive new entrant in the legal market for government services.”

Lora Shaw stated:

The firm’s structure and approach is very appealing to me.  In particular, it enables me to service government and corporate clients with a tailored and competitive fee offering which I think will add real value to clients”.

Keypoint Law was established in Australia in May this year, by award-winning UK firm Keystone Law.
