Keypoint Expands its Estate
Keypoint Law set up shop in Australia just 10 weeks ago and it has already launched a new practice area.
The estate planning practice group will be led by new recruits Michael Eyers and Michelle Meyer.
Meyer is the founder of NextGenLaw, a boutique estate planning and business succession firm servicing private clients with combined personal assets in excess of $1.7 billion.
Prior to launching her own firm, Meyer worked at Clarendene Estate Planning Lawyers, now a business unit of PwC, and at King & Wood Mallesons.
Eyers joined Keypoint in July. He has held a string of senior legal positions in-house and in private practice, including partner roles at Ashurst and Atanaskovic Hartnell.
Keypoint also poached the legal director of MRC Global, Iain Hogg, for its corporate and commercial practice in June.
Keypoint now has a total of eight lawyers.
Keypoint has no billable-hour targets and offers fee earners 70 per cent of what they bill.
