Keypoint Law has appointed the legal director of a Fortune 500 company to head its corporate and commercial practice.

Lawyers Weekly reported last month (30 May) that UK-based firm Keystone Law had officially launched in Australia as Keypoint Law.

The newcomer to the Australian market has recruited Iain Hogg (pictured), Director of Legal and Company Secretary for the Asia-Pacific region at MRC Global, a global distributor of pipe, valve and fitting products and services to the energy and industrial markets. Hogg was previously the senior legal counsel at freight logistics company Asciano Limited.

The new corporate and commercial practice led by Hogg will include an ‘in-house counsel service’ for clients wanting a dedicated legal service for general or special project work.

Hogg is the sixth lawyer to join Keypoint since the firm launched in May.
