Fair Exchange?

The arrival of Australian law from Slater & Gordon has had an electric effect on the UK legal scene, weaving together a choice group of personal injury firms and grabbing the headlines in most high-profile abuse cases. In return we are exporting to Oz Keypoint Law, the offspring of Keystone Law which has become one of the UK’s most successful “alternative law firms.” Operating through independent- minded lawyers who offer legal services without the usual bureaucracy and hierarchy, the new outfit should appeal to the self-reliant Aussie spirit. As Warren Kalinko, formerly head of legal for OneSteel and now running Keypoint Law put it: “Our lawyers won’t be weighed down by an avalanche of law firm administration or the need to operate within centrally dictated budgets, pricing and billable hours.” Interesting to see when it picks up its first refugee from Slater & Gordon.
