Charles is an experienced Health, Regulatory and Insurance lawyer with 15 years of legal experience in Australia and an additional 12 years prior as a practising solicitor in the UK. Charles bears a wealth of expertise in the areas of medical malpractice, professional negligence, and commercial litigation.

Prior to joining Keypoint, Charles was the Head of Legal Services for Queensland’s largest public hospital system, Metro North Hospital and Health Service.  Earlier in his career, he was a senior lawyer at Moray & Agnew and Barry.Nillson.

Charles gives advice in relation to all forms of medical malpractice, professional conduct, insurance coverage advice, personal injury, discrimination claims, professional negligence, consent and capacity advice, workplace safety investigations, motor accident claims, Medicare queries and disputes, privacy and confidentiality.

Charles has an established reputation and is trusted by clinicians and medical practitioners for his technical skills, practical strategic approach and his ability to capitalise on his depth of experience to address matters efficiently and effectively.

Charles has also established a thorough understanding in matters relating to the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT), having previously worked as Executive Director of Legal Services for the Office of the Health Ombudsman.

Charles is based in Brisbane.
